A New Season Is Here 🍂

There’s something about the beginning of a new season that always makes me reflect.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about change.

As humans, I think we naturally resist it. There’s comfort in what we know, even when we know it’s time for something different. The unfamiliar can be scary.

But change is also the one thing we can always count on.

Seasons change. People change. Plans change. We change.

And maybe instead of holding so tightly to what’s familiar, we’re meant to lean into what’s becoming.

Fear can rob us of experiences we haven’t even had yet. New things challenge us. Failure humbles us. But there is so much learning in all of it—even in the things that don’t turn out the way we imagined.

I’ve been reminding myself of that lately.

To try the new thing.

To be willing to get it wrong.

To change direction when something no longer feels right.

To stop being afraid of the unfamiliar simply because it’s unfamiliar.

And perhaps most importantly, to remember that embracing change doesn’t always mean doing more.

Sometimes the uncomfortable thing is slowing down.

Doing nothing.

Standing still.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to keep moving—to create more, accomplish more, become more. But I’m beginning to think there are seasons when the most meaningful thing we can do is simply be still long enough to notice what’s changing around us…and within us.

So that’s my little challenge as we step into this next season:

Embrace the change.

Do something that makes you uncomfortable. Let yourself fail at something. Try something you’ve been putting off.

And if your uncomfortable thing is slowing down and doing absolutely nothing for a moment?

Stand still. 💕

There might be something there waiting for you.

Until next time,
