Lately, I've been thinking a lot about what "home" really means.

When I was a young wife and mom, I was always searching for the perfect home to raise my children in. I thought if I could just find the right house, everything else would fall into place.

Over the years, I realized something much more meaningful.

Home isn't four walls or a particular address. Home is something you create…with the meals you cook, the clothes you mend, the flowers you grow, the treasures you collect, the traditions you keep, and the people you share them with.

That realization has shaped not only our family, but also the future of ARRICA AFTON & CO.

For a long time, I believed the dream had to begin with a beautiful brick-and-mortar storefront. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized this brand was never meant to be defined by one building.

ARRICA AFTON & CO. is a way of living.

It's finding beauty in old things.
Growing food from a tiny seed.
Setting a beautiful table with what you already have.
Sewing something by hand.
Traveling with curiosity.
Creating warmth wherever life takes you.

Whether you're in your first apartment, your forever home, or somewhere in between, I hope this space reminds you that you can create home wherever you are.

Over the next few months, I'll be sharing more of that journey—curated vintage pieces, heirloom-inspired living, gardening, sewing, travel, and all the little things that make a house feel like home.
